I travel al lot and never fill in these questionares of Booked.net. But this very nice 25+room design 4 star hotel, with a very personal touch and priced like a 3 star hotel, makes the exception. The room was very comfortable and as everything is brand new the beds slept like a dream (I am very picky about this and can change rooms several times when the mattras is worn out). Yes there was a shower curtain missing (as they are waiting for delivery to install it), but with all the plusses of the room (price, comfort and location) it was a minor detail. On top of that if you like luxury dinning, there is a two Michelin star restaurant next to the hotel. For something different with a creative and fusion kitchen try the restaurant opposite of the hotel (forgot the name, but there is only one there.
Great bed and pillows,
The free Internet was not working at all...it is true what other travellers said about the bathroom: as no curtain or glass wall, the whole bathroom is flooded when you take a shower...not very convenient;
Hotel was in decent location...we checked in after midnight and had to change rooms once...both rooms were nicely decorated but for 160 euros we expected to have a clean room.
first room had dirty toilet and bathroom...second room had trash in trashcan and was also not really clean...dirty elevator and carpets...felt a bit like an airline flophouse.
Rooms good quality and very clean.
Staff not as professional, or helpful as would have expected.
New and modern with a good weekend upgrade package, including afternoon tea and pre-diner drinks. 10-minute walk to the Grand Place and the Bourse.
They offer an upgraded room package, specifically including bathrobes and slippers, afternoon tea, and pre-dinner drinks. However, after we had checked-in and had showers, we couldn't find our bathrobes, so we called reception who told us that since they opened in April 2012, they have still not got any bathrobes, even though they include these on the web-site and in their upgrade packages. Misrepresentation, no matter how small, is not good for brand image, repeat business or word-of-mouth recommendations.
Design and ambience. Discreet and friendly staff. Club lounge availability and free access was a major benefit and made the stay very enjoyable and civilised. Breakfast was excellent. Room very comfortable and clean. Excellent in all aspects. We will be back.
Great afternoon tea with biscuits, nice breakfast included.
Breakfast was excellent plus Happy Hour 6-9pm with free beer and wine. Fantastic decor/value for money We WILL return!!!
Club Lounge Inclusive is a very nice thing! Very helpful staff at the reception and waiters at the bar.
We didn't know we had access to wine/beer ...it was a nice surprise!!
I liked the hotel it was quirky and down to earth. The breakfast was also nice, lots of choice for a small hotel. They served free drinks in the bar from 6-8 which was nice. Location is quite close to the main square and some nice cafes and bars. Also 5 min walk to Euro start which was handy.
Inside the hotel its beautiful but as a woman alone i was warned not to walk around the area alone after dark which in the winter was quite early. It meant getting taxi's to and fro after dark but i suppose many cities are the same.
A really lovely hotel, very close to the centre (a 10 minute walk to Grand Place) and in a lovely little square with a couple of cafes/bars on it and only a stroll from Brussells Midi station. Couldn't have asked for a better location for a weekend break. And the hotel was really comfortable with a big room, a big, comfy bed and a wonderful rain shower. The Club Lounge Inclusive meant that we could have a couple of glasses of wine before heading out to dinner at no extra charge (something we didn't quite believe but was defniitely for real). And breakfast was delicious - buffet style, with good quality and selection. We would both definitely go back and I was even in two minds about writing a review as I don't want too many other people to discover the place and find that we can't get a room next time!
There was nothing to dislike about this hotel. Sometimes reception or bar service is a tad slow (it can be one person covering both), but I suspect that, by keeping staffing levels down, they are also able to keep the price per night very reasinable and so its not at all something to complain about!
I liked the "cool" comfort of the room, the quietness and the good breakfast. It is good value for the service and quality if it remains at the price.
The phone was not answered on 4 attempts to make contact to advise them of my late arrival. This could be stressful and is the only feature of this hotel experience that could be improved.
I liked that the rooms are renovated and clean
Toilet is separate from Bathroom, but I guess this is a design issue. Internet was difficult to access from the rooms far from the router or access point. Staff was not enough to service the guests on Saturday, Sunday morning (too many guests, or not enough staff :) )
Good attention to detail, excellent location and excellent service. The shower in the bathroom is so good you do not want to get out from under it, and the bed so comfortable you will not want to get out of it! Breakfast was plentiful fine coffee and good scrambled eggs, these, with bacon on croissents could see you through the day!
